DZIEŃ 3 / DAY 3: CECI N’EST PAS LE FUTUR / ZAPOWIEDŹ

* To nie jest przyszłość.

Ceci n’est pas le futur*

English version:

A period of boom, mostly manifesting itself towards the end of the century, will generally trigger a period of depression, which results in a reorientation on one’s own culture. This period of uncertainty can be fertile ground for polarization, which can, in turn, lead to (violent) conflict situations.

Poland is currently experiencing the longest peaceful period in her history. Membership of organizations such as NATO and the UN has led the population to believe that peace will be maintained. To be considered a serious partner in international peace keeping operations Poland raised its military budget by 19,2 percent in 2015 (an increase bigger then other countries on the European continent). When talking about armed forces one prefers to use the word defense.

* This is not the future
